Welcome to Armchair Apprentice!
Armchair Apprentice is a podcast hosted by Marjorie and Michael Carrino. After they watch each episode of The Apprentice on NBC television
(Mondays at 9:00 ET), they rush to their podcasting studio and record a discussion about the show
(OK, the studio is actually their living room). There is not much time to think about what really happened on the show, so it's basically a from-the-gut, shoot-from-the-hip take on what just happened. Barring some kind of disaster, business trips or holiday, the show is waiting for you the next morning on line. It's like having two more friends with whom you can discuss The Apprentice!
The Armchair Apprentice podcast started in September 2005 when Michael called Marji at work and
Armchair
Survivor asked her if she wanted to do a podcast about The Apprentice. Mike had already been doing podcasts
(The Digital Media Cast Experiment and the
Digital Media Cast Network DigiCast) so it was either join in the fun or become a podcast widow. The rest is history. Armchair Apprentice has listeners around the world -- some of whom must first download episodes of The Apprentice since their local television media outlets don't carry the show. Going into its second season, Armchair Apprentice is well within the top 10% of the most downloaded podcasts world wide.
In late 2005, BuddyTV selected Marji and Mike to be one of their first TVJ's
(is that the opposite direction Adam Curry is going?). There will be more about this soon.
The Carrino's also do a similar show,
Armchair Survivor, for CBS's Survivor.
